NEWS FLASH

The Audio Conferencing add-on enables participants to call a phone number to join Teams meetings and calls. This add-on is now free for 12 months. Participants can join using computer audio or by phone.

If you already have a Microsoft 365 (Office 365) subscription, you already have Teams, which means you can turn on this new capability today and pay nothing. Microsoft is covering the $4 per user per month cost for this add-on for 12 months.

If you are using Zoom you are paying around $15 per user per month to be able to hold online meetings and calls. I encourage you to take a look at the Microsoft 365 subscription to see everything you get with Microsoft. For example, for just $5 per user per month, the Microsoft Business Basic includes:

  1. Teams meetings and calls plus all of the collaboration benefits of teams for your business,
  2. 1TB of OneDrive personal file storage for each user,
  3. A license to access SharePoint for business storage.
  4. Business email and calendar (although, you aren’t required to switch to Microsoft for your business email).

What are you spending today on Zoom (or any other web-based tool like go-to-meeting, or join.me, for example), what are you spending on storage from Dropbox or other service, or for your business email service. Is it more than $5 per user per month?
